Face;
...eyes, nose, mouth, rosy cheeks, dimple(s), pimple(s), facial hair, chin, forehead, whiskers, freckles, mole, eyebrow, veins, piercings, jaw.
Expression;
...feelings, a sign, a symptom, a style, all for the sake of communicating to you.
But, how well do you actually know these facial expressions?
From a frown to a smile? From a tear to one that's smeared?
From one's mouth being shaped like an "O", or curves facing either upward or downward or just a plain straight line?
Here are some samples of ........
Happiness, Anger, Surprise and Disgust.
You may be thinking,
'Blah, What the hell is this post about.'
or 'Lame. Even I know this crap!'
Well, you may or may not. Depending on how neutral or expressive your specimen may be.
But let me tell you of all the feelings which you portray as into facial expressions, there is one however that you won't know of unless the person is actually opening up to you.
........And that emotion/expression is 'hurt'.
........And that emotion/expression is 'hurt'.
Do you know why? Unlike the external hurts and cuts you get, you can actually see other symptoms which are indicators that it's not alright. For instant, inflammation from a cut or scratch, bruising, or oozing of blood. The person might go into shock from such experiences especially those really alarming ones. They may not tear, they may not scream and just give a simple decent 'ouch'. But you'll know that they're hurt and not okay.
The one hurt you cannot see, is the ones inside. They could be bleeding on the inside and you won't know it. Putting on poker-faces, changing the subject, sleeping in from a simple excuse of being sick. But deep down, those puffy eyes were from the night before where you poured your heart out. Those chapped lips were from those meals you missed because you didn't 'feel' like eating. Those bruises and cuts from falling down, were actually you, smashing things at night trying, exerting every ounce of anger, and pain you have to things which can't feel. All you wanted was to be numb again.
You say I'm no good at reading facial expressions. As the matter of fact, I am. Even more than you think you do. It's because those which people don't see, I see. And unless you're behind a computer screen with a mask on, then perhaps I'm wrong about what vibes I'm getting. But if you're not, then those mere 'LOL(s)' that you type aren't really you laughing them out loud.
This is what I'll mostly show you if you try to even say you do know me FULLSTOP.
You know you can't. And for those who don't understand this picture up here of John Cena. Well let me break it down to you in another simpler verson of it which basically carried the whole same thing.
Nope, still not. Not even close to near.
